The Opportunity
Japan’s manufacturing sector operates some of the world’s most complex supply chains spanning hundreds of suppliers across dozens of countries. However, the vast majority of companies lack real-time visibility beyond their Tier 1 partners. With rising geopolitical risks and new regulation, this blind spot has evolved into a challenge that business leaders must address directly. As the Japanese government moves toward establishing new reporting standards for supply chains, the infrastructure to support them does not yet exist.
The Solution
Resilire provides an AI-powered supply chain risk management platform specifically designed for manufacturing enterprises. Three core components work in tandem: the Supply Chain Database, which maps supplier relationships including Tier 2 and beyond; Resilire SCRM, which monitors natural disasters, geopolitical risks, cyber threats, and ESG incidents in real-time to score supplier exposure; and Resilire SAQ, a supplier questionnaire and assessment module that centralizes CSR surveys, human rights due diligence, and conflict mineral assessments.
Resilire’s structural differentiator lies in its network effect. Each time a new manufacturer joins, its suppliers are also added to the platform, cumulatively increasing the value of the shared data infrastructure. Customers have reported that the time required to assess the impact of an incident has been reduced to approximately one-third after implementing Resilire. This represents a shift from reactive measures to proactive procurement strategies.
Why We’re Investing in Resilire
Yudai Tsuda founded Resilire after experiencing the West Japan floods early in his career. His conviction that supply chain vulnerability is an infrastructure problem solvable through data has remained consistent since the company’s inception.
This conviction is reflected in the caliber of Resilire’s customer base. A wide range of Japan’s leading manufacturing giants — spanning automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and heavy industry — have adopted Resilire. This adoption has moved beyond mere pilot projects into full-scale utilization for mission-critical operations.
There are three reasons why Resilire holds a particularly strong position. First is the barrier to entry created by the network effect; the supplier data accumulating on the platform is securely stored, creating a structure where the more it is used, the more indispensable it becomes. Second is the policy tailwind. Japan is moving toward greater supply chain transparency across areas such as economic security, cybersecurity, and sustainability disclosure, increasing the need for reliable supplier-level data infrastructure. Third is the first-mover advantage in the Japanese market. Resilire is among the first AI-native supply chain risk management platforms operating in Japan, and at this precise moment as the market takes off, Resilire is already establishing itself as the industry standard.
Looking Ahead
Supply chain risk management and stabilization have moved well beyond the realm of process improvement, becoming a central challenge of corporate management. Resilire stands at the frontier, leading the charge as a defining startup in securing the stability of Japan’s industrial foundation. Salesforce Ventures is proud to co-lead this round alongside DNX Ventures.
