Lara Mouritsen

Lara Mouritsen is Head of Legal for Salesforce Ventures. She has a dynamic role advising on investments and portfolio matters. She also counsels the Salesforce Foundation, a non-profit private foundation, in corporate and governance issues. Prior to Salesforce, she was a corporate associate at Cooley where she represented investors, start-ups, and public tech companies in investments, acquisitions, and general corporate matters. She is also involved with pro bono projects supporting underserved groups and entrepreneurs.

She holds a JD from UC Hastings, College of the Law, and a BA from UC Santa Barbara in Global Studies and Spanish.

Kristi King

Kristi supports Salesforce Ventures’ global events program, hosting 20+ events annually for the Salesforce Ventures brand and portfolio, including Cloud 100 and the Salesforce Ventures experience at Dreamforce.

Throughout her career, Kristi has executed events for up to 18,000 attendees in over 15 US states and internationally in Canada, England, and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining Salesforce Ventures, Kristi curated event experiences for Google, Hilton, Keller Williams Realty, Nike, Samsung, and Target. Career highlights include leading Hilton’s EMEA Owner’s Conference in Dubai (and skiing in the world’s largest mall). She won the 2017 Gala Award for “Best Achievement in Logistics” from Special Events Magazine for pivoting a real estate convention in only eight days to a disaster relief event for hurricane victims.

Khushboo Patel

Khushboo currently leads the platform team at Salesforce Ventures as Chief Operating Officer. Her team includes the Operations, Marketing, and Portfolio Development teams who support Salesforce Ventures entrepreneurs build credibility and accelerate growth.

Prior to Salesforce Ventures, Khushboo was in the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting team within the Salesforce finance organization where she partnered with the Salesforce Ventures and M&A teams in strategic transactions. Before joining Salesforce, she worked at Deloitte & Touche in New York and California serving Fortune 500 companies in their audit practice. Khushboo serves as a Finance Committee Member for the St. Anthony’s Foundation in San Francisco, which supports underserved communities. She holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Kevin Chen

Kevin Chen is an investor at Salesforce Ventures focused on AI/ML, application software, cybersecurity, data, and infrastructure. Prior to joining Salesforce Ventures in 2021, Kevin worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, advising clients across the enterprise software, consumer Internet, and semiconductor sectors, and started his career at Stifel, focused on mid-market technology M&A.

Kevin grew up in Los Angeles before attending New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where he earned a B.S. in Finance and Statistics.”

Ken Asada

Ken Asada is a partner and Japan Head in Salesforce Ventures’ Tokyo office where he focuses on investments in Japan and Korea. Ken has been in the venture capital business for more than a decade and has backed various tech startups in fields such as AI, communication technology, crowdsourcing, enterprise software, and security.

Prior to Salesforce Ventures, Ken was a Managing Director of NTT DoCoMo Ventures and an Investment Director of Intel Capital. Earlier in his career, Ken was a Systems Engineer and Strategy Consultant at IBM Japan. Ken holds an MBA from London Business School with a finance concentration and a Bachelor of Economics from Keio University.

Katie Schwartz Thiry

Katie is a Managing Director at Salesforce Ventures and focuses her time on SaaS and industry-transforming healthcare and fintech companies. She looks for massive markets, mission-critical solutions, and strong teams. She has experience investing at multiple stages, ranging from seed to buyout, and has worked as an operator at early to growth-stage startups. She loves working side-by-side with entrepreneurs to help them build generational companies.

Since joining Salesforce Ventures, Katie has led the team’s investments in Airtable, BetterUp, DataRobot, Ironclad, ixLayer, Lyra, Modern Treasury, Spiff, Stord, and Wheel. Before joining Salesforce Ventures in 2020, she was an investor at Crosslink Capital and Vista Equity Partners. She started her career at Barclays and was an operator at Edison Software and Chime. Katie holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and received a bachelor’s in Politics from Princeton University.

Kartik Gupta

Kartik Gupta is an investor at Salesforce Ventures, where he focuses on early- to late-stage investments across Europe, Israel, India, and the United States. Kartik has been directly involved with Salesforce’s investments in Snowflake (IPO), Miro, Wiz, Snyk, Darwinbox, Astronomer, Atlan, AppOmni, Elevate Security, Aiven, Razorpay, Yellow.ai, Hashnode, Melio, Wefox, AttackIQ, Bugcrowd, Traction Guest, SurveyMonkey (IPO), Securly (Acq.), Conga (Acq.), ScoutRFP (Acq.), and more.

Before SFVC, Kartik was with Industry Ventures where he looked at primary co-investment and secondary investment opportunities in consumer and enterprise software companies. Originally from Delhi, India, he currently resides in London after a decade in San Francisco. He graduated from UC Berkeley with undergraduate degrees in Economics and Statistics.

Katie Morales

Katie Morales provides executive support to Alex Kayyal, SVP and Managing Partner, Salesforce Ventures. Katie takes pride in creating a positive and inspirational working environment and looks forward to taking on new opportunities to expand her skill sets all while continuing with Salesforce Ventures’ mission.

She joined Salesforce in August 2018 as an Executive Assistant in the Finance Department, supporting the CFO. Prior to joining Salesforce, she started her career as an Executive Assistant at a Venture Capital Fund-of-Funds in Silicon Valley. Katie has seven+ years of C-level Executive support, high-level project coordination, and event-planning experience. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University.

Alex Haskell

Alex Haskell is a legal director for Salesforce Ventures, based in London and operating across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and India. He supports Salesforce Ventures with its investments and also works with portfolio companies with various legal issues. He has experience advising on and structuring deals in 15+ jurisdictions. Alex was previously part of Salesforce’s M&A legal team based in San Francisco, where he worked on large public company M&A, acqui-hires, and everything in between. Prior to Salesforce, he was a corporate associate at Cooley in San Francisco where he represented investors, start-ups, and public technology companies in investments, acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Alex is also a part of Salesforce Ventures’ diversity metrics committee.

Alex moved to London in 2019 to join Salesforce Ventures. He holds a JD from NYU School of Law and BAs from UC Berkeley in History and Political Science. He is pursuing an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy at the London School of Economics.

Adrianna Alterman

Adrianna Alterman is a Principal on the Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund, a portfolio fund within Salesforce Ventures that focuses on climate tech, edtech, workforce development, financial inclusion, and digital health. Adrianna was previously a Senior Associate at Amplify Capital, an early-stage impact VC fund, and was on the impact investing team at MaRS, Canada’s largest entrepreneurship center. She started her career in politics at an economic think tank, in the US Senate, and for President Obama’s campaign. Adrianna has a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University and an MBA from Yale.
